Add seasonal cheer to your own creations when you use your scrapbooking supplies for these lively projects!
Count the Days
You'll step up holiday anticipation with a heel-to-toe Advent calendar. A garland made of 25 hand-cut stockings makes a quick and fun project for you and your children. Create a stocking shape and cut two pieces for each stocking from cardstock in the colors and patterns of your choice. Adhere the stocking shapes together (these are stitched), and print numbers in the font of your choice onto cardstock from your computer. Add decorative stocking tops as desired. Pad the inside of each stocking with cotton balls to give it a fuller look but still allow room to hold a treat or note. Then use clothespins to attach them to a length of yarn.
From DVD to Delicious Delivery
Spice up treats by enclosing them in a DVD envelope adorned with patterned paper and embellishments. Attach a punched, printed greeting to a small metal-rim tag. If you're concerned about oily residue marring your design, consider slipping the treat inside a clear plastic bag before inserting it into the envelope.
Spruce Up a Paper Bag
Crafters, give a brown paper bag some seasonal sizzle by punching a border on the opening edge and adding a strip of patterned paper and a stamped tag. Or punch a shape in the bag body and back it with patterned paper.
