Dr. William Petit, the lone survivor of a Cheshire home invasion in 2007 that left his wife and two daughters dead, is offering advice to the families left suffering in the wake of the Newtown tragedy.
In a recent interview, he tells families it's natural to question one's faith after a traumatic experience. He also suggests families seek out professional counseling to help them cope with feelings of loss.
He said he thinks the families in Newtown need time and space.
