The Community Health Center in New Britain reopened Wednesday afternoon after being evacuated because of a chemical spill.
The facility on Lafayette Street was evacuated after formocresol, which is used in dentistry, spilled around 12:45 p.m.
Police and firefighters as well as officials from Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection remain on the scene to make sure the chemical is disposed of properly.
"The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority," officials from the Community Health Center said in a statement.
It does not appear that anyone was injured during the incident.
The Community Health Center reopened just before 3 p.m.
No other information was released.
