Springfield Museums to host annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

On Saturday, March 2, the Springfield Museums will host their annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The days' events will include a performance by popular balloon artist Allynn Gooen, the annual Dr. Seuss Cake Contest and a host of Seuss-inspired activities.

The celebration is part of the Museums' Weekend Family Fun series, which is sponsored by TD Bank through the TD Charitable Foundation. Activities are free with museum admission unless otherwise noted.

The Springfield Museums are located on the Quadrangle at 21 Edwards St. in downtown Springfield.

All four museums are open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and college students, $8 for children 3-17 and free for children under 3 and museum members. The fee provides admission to all Springfield Museums and the Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden. Springfield residents are free with proof of address. Secure free onsite parking is available in the Edwards Street parking lots.
