SPRINGFIELD, MA (AP) -

Springfield Bishop Timothy A. McDonnell will celebrate a special liturgy marking the installation of Pope Francis on Tuesday, March 19 at St. Michael's Cathedral on 254 State St. at 12:10 p.m.

The date coincides with the Papal Inaugural Mass, which will take place earlier in the day at St. Peter's Basilica at Vatican City in Rome.

It also coincides with the Feast of St. Joseph Universal Patron of the Catholic Church.

Students from St. Michael's Academy along with representatives from the diocesan Latino community will also be present.

This is open to the public. For those unable to attend, the Mass will be available online live at www.jobserve.org and www.diospringfield.org.
