Peter Pan Bus Lines may not move to Union Station

Posted: Updated:

If Penn National Gaming does not win the Western Massachusetts casino race, Peter Pan Bus Lines President Peter Picknelly said he is not committed to moving his company to a revitalized Union Station.

Picknelly told CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican that it is strictly a business decision, as he has a mortgage on the company's current Main Street location.

Penn National's plan, which Picknelly is a part of, calls for an $807 million casino resort in the city's North End.

That would require the bus company to move.

Plans are for Union Station to undergo a $78 million renovation that is not tied to any casino.

Penn National is up against MGM in Springfield, Hard Rock in West Springfield, and Mohegan Sun in Palmer.
