The traffic is picking up along Washington Road and it's not just people slowing down their cars to get a sneak peek inside Augusta National; many first time attendees were found standing outside the gates for a glimpse into what they can expect tomorrow.
"It's exciting, we got a picture of the sign and just got a look at the clubhouse from here," said practice round attendee Dennis Koerner.
Evidently, it's the place to be the day before the big week. Even ticket holders are not allowed inside until Monday but they are already getting as close to the green as they can.
"We're strategizing for tomorrow," said practice round attendee Tracy Hughes. "We want to get where we are going to park clear in our minds and which way is the main entrance and where to go first."
However, it's not just about what you can see from the outside but also who you might see driving through those gates.
"I just wanted to see the golf course but while we were standing at the entrance Jason Day pulled in and we got to see him drive by," said practice round attendee Richard Murphy.
Others told us Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson were spotted arriving earlier on Sunday. However, when FOX54 was out there, first time Masters invitee Richard Sterne drove through the gates.
But for these first-time attendees, it is about the overall experience.
"It's kind of like heaven on earth here so far," said Gary Beckman.
"I am looking forward to seeing Amen Corner," said Rich Payton.
"Just seeing the beauty and the majesty of the place," said Tracy Hughes.
Dreams that will come true for these spectators on Monday.
