Lee Co. keeps state playoff hopes alive

Posted: Updated:

The Lee County Trojans have had a disappointing season by their standards.

But, through it all, the team still controls their state playoff destiny.

In order to keep that hope alive, the Trojans would need to win a couple key region games against Thomas County Central.

They did just that.

In Game 1 of the doubleheader, Lee Co. shut out the Yellow Jackets, 9-0.

In the second of the twinbill, the Trojans took a 3-1 decision.

That makes Lee County's road game against Bainbridge on Tuesday the most important of the season.

The winner earns the region's fourth seed.
