Police arrested a man who was accused riding his dirt bike on the streets of New Haven and then spitting on a reverend that photographed him in the act earlier this month.
According to police, Father James Manship heard a man riding his dirt bike and "popping wheelies" on Blatchley Avenue on April 21.
Manship got out of his car and took a photo of the man, who was later identified as Leron Stone, 19, of New Haven.
Police said Stone turned around and spat on Manship as well as his car before speeding off.
The photos taken by Manship were turned over to police and helped identify Stone.
Stone was arrested Friday at Criscuolo Park and was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Police also charged Stone, who has been previously charged with burglary, with reckless endangerment, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license for an incident that occurred April 7.
Stone was released on a $30,000 bond.
