Chicopee's Davitt Bridge to likely reopen on Monday

Posted: Updated:

Motorists and businesses will have the Davitt Bridge back earlier than they thought.

State Rep. Joseph Wagner told CBS 3 that the bridge, which provides entrance into downtown, should reopen on Monday.

The final paving of the bridge was expected to be completed Saturday, as long as the weather allows for it.

The bridge was closed in May 2012 and rebuilt for a cost of nearly $8.7 million.
