With fire officials preparing to reopen Mt. Charleston to the public on Friday, Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort are preparing to welcome back visitors.
The resort had been closed shortly after the Carpenter 1 wildfire sparked, forcing residents and business owners off the Spring Mountains since July 1.
The resort announced the resumption of chairlift rides, hiking and other activities for Friday. The resort's Bighorn Grill and Bristlecone Bar will be back in business as well.
The resort announced it will resume its summertime activities at 10 a.m. on Friday. On Sunday, the resort also said it will host a live performance by Bazooka Zac from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
