Posted: Updated:

Holyoke police are investigating how a child became "seriously injured" Friday night.

Officers were called to Holyoke Medical Center around 8 p.m. when the injured child was brought there by its parents.

Police think the child was injured in a motor vehicle crash.

An accident reconstruction team is investigating at a housing complex off Leary Drive.

Police do not have the age or sex of the child.

Multiple cruisers and police tape is blocking off the entrance to Beaudoin Village.

The complex is run by the Holyoke Housing Authority.

CBS 3 Springfield will update this breaking news story as more information becomes available.
