A 95-year-old pedestrian walking on a Harding Pike sidewalk has died after being struck on Thursday by a Cadillac Escalade as it was pulling out of a bank parking lot.
Police said Elisabeth Neuss, who lives near the crash scene, was walking in front of the US Bank in the 4200 block of Harding Pike, near Woodlawn Drive.
Police reported on Friday that Neuss had died.
The driver of the Escalade told police he didn't see Neuss before the collision, but investigators believe the contributing factor appears to be failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.
Charges against the driver are pending, police said.
