Posted: Updated:

The Springfield Diocese held their annual advancement dinner Wednesday night.

The gathering was at the Castle of Knights on Memorial Drive in Chicopee. The event is held each year to honor schools and individuals for their support for Catholic education.

"It's a great opportunity for people to come together, celebrate the achievements of Catholic education and help support Catholic education going forward," said Mark Dupont, Director of Communications for the Springfield Diocese.

Derek Kellogg, coach of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst men's basketball team, was this year's keynote speaker.

This was the 14th annual gathering for the Springfield Diocese.
