Springfield police arrested a man early Wednesday after breaking into a barber shop and attempting to steal a flat screen TV.

According to Springfield Police Sergeant, John Delaney, officers responded to Mack's Barber Shop at 252 Bay Street after observing a smashed window and the lock forced open on the front door.

Delaney said officers quietly entered the shop and saw a man identified as Hector Quinones, 28, standing on a ladder attempting to remove a flat screen television from the wall.

According to Delaney, police ordered Quinones to come down from the ladder.

Police said Quinones came down and placed the screw drivers that were in his hands on the counter.

Quinones was arrested and faces many charges including Nighttime Breaking and Entering for a Felony and Defacement of property over $250.
