Police in Milford are investigating complaints that letters with pornographic images and a Home Depot logo on the envelope that are being sent to Connecticut residents.
The envelopes with the Home Depot logo and the address of the Home Depot in Stratford have been sent to at least five addresses in Milford, and police said there's a pornographic picture of a person inside it.
Sources told Eyewitness News a person living in Orange received a letter as well.
Investigators is working with the Unites States Postal Service to determine the source of the letters.
Eyewitness News has learned police are asking questions at the Stratford Home Depot and possibly looking at a former employee.
"Kids could be opening up the mail," Milford resident Thomas Prion said. "You don't want kids to see that."
A spokesman with Home Depot said they are assisting police with their investigation.
"We're obviously appalled and greatly appreciate the efforts of law enforcement to investigate this matter. We're actively cooperating with them and will continue to do so," said Home Depot spokesman Stephen Holmes in a statement Wednesday.
Police said there are no reports of anymore of the lewd letters sent Thursday. Investigators warned residents if they do receive letters that appear suspicious, not to open them.
There are no Home Depots in Milford.
