A Woodruff woman has been charged after a domestic dispute left a man bleeding, according to a report from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they responded to a domestic violence call on Kilgore Bridge Road when they found Jennifer Singletary, 33, in the yard of the residence. They said she was intoxicated and claimed she had been hit.
Inside the house deputies talked to the victim who was visibly bleeding from his mouth and he said Singletary squeezed his testicles to the point they were bleeding, according the deputy's report.
The victim said he and Singletary had been living together for two years but she was moving out. On Tuesday, Singletary came to the house to pick up her clothes she started attacking the victim, the report said.
The victim spoke with FOX Carolina and said when Singletary came to pick up her belongings, she was fine, but when she tried to come inside to make sure she got everything, he said no because she was intoxicated.
"She decided she was going to come in anyway," the victim said. "Forced her way in and it escalated from there. She got violent, and all I did was try to defend myself."
Singletary is charged with criminal domestic violence, first offense, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said they found no visible injury on Singletary.
