Two people hospitalized after early morning crash in Agawam

Posted: Updated:

Two people were hospitalized following an early morning car accident.

The Agawam Police Department told CBS 3 that an 18-year-old man was struck by a car on Meadow Street shortly before 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The man was thrown across the road from the impact.

The vehicle, driven by a woman in her 20s, lost control and slammed into a tree.

Both the man and woman were taken to Baystate Medical Center, but on Saturday afternoon police said they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also believe alcohol may have been a factor.
