A passerby found the body of a man lying on the side of a Phoenix roadway Friday afternoon, officers said.
Police are asking the public for tips to help them identify the victim and make an arrest.
Homicide detectives from the Phoenix Police Department arrived in the area of 900 East Alameda around 3:30 p.m. and discovered signs of trauma on the victim's body.
The man appeared to be between 30 to 40 years old.
