Springfield woman in jeopardy of losing home

Posted: Updated:

Dozens of people turned out to support a local woman in jeopardy of losing her home.

In 2010, U.S. Bank foreclosed on Springfield resident Candejah Pink and tried to evict her.

A judge later threw that eviction out saying that the bank illegally closed on her.

Now that same bank is once again trying to evict her even though she said she can now afford her Blunt Street home.

Pink said she'll continue to fight the eviction and plans on staying in her home.

She said the show of support tonight from the community meant a lot to her.

"From strangers that don't even know me and they hear my story and they understand and can relate and I appreciate that as well," said Pink.
