Louisa schools back to normal after 'emotional man' forced lockdown

Posted: Updated:

Operations at two Louisa County elementary schools are expected to resume as normal Thursday after the pair were placed on lockdown.

The precaution was put in place after a man with "emotional and domestic issues" was seen running through the woods near Thomas Jefferson and Trevilians Elementary Schools Wednesday afternoon, according to The Central Virginian.

The schools share a campus on Spotswood Trail Road, and were locked down to make sure no children were on the playground or boarding buses while police worked to get the situation under control. The man was eventually caught around 3:20 p.m.

No one was hurt in the incident.
