Cell phone video caught the police shooting of 17-year-old Antwon Rose in East Pittsburgh.
It's been nearly three years since Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton went missing out of Morenci, Michigan, but the investigation is starting to heat back up.
Starting this week, Michigan State Police are taking over all case files, and will now lead the investigation.
The department will continue to work with Morenci police and the FBI, but MSP leaders say they already have the resources to keep this case moving forward.
"It's great that I know this is still a very active and open case," said Tanya Zuvers, the boys' mother. "It just keeps that hope in me burning that we're going to get our answers."
The boys were last seen the day after Thanksgiving in 2010 with their father John Skelton. Skelton claims he gave the boys to someone else.
He's currently serving a 10-15 year prison sentence for unlawful imprisonment.
