Melha Shriners hold third annual FeZtival of Trees

Posted: Updated:

The Melha Shriners are kicking off the holiday season by giving Western Mass residents the chance to win some interesting Christmas trees.

The Melha Shrine Center is the site of the third annual FeZtival of Trees.

The customized and festive trees are donated by local businesses and residents.

They are then raffled off to visitors.

Organizers said there is a little something for everyone.

"This building is a beautiful building, it's a great setting to do this," said Bill Faust, organizer of the event. "It's been a great experience, getting to organize this and getting it done. It's been a great response from the people who have been here. It's a good kick off to the holiday and puts everyone in a good frame of mind."

All of the money raised go towards the shrine center to help fund their various activities in Western Mass.

The FeZtival ends on Sunday, Dec. 8.

You can check out the trees from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the week, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
