Nine homeless after Springfield fire

Nine people are without a place to live tonight after a fire damaged their home.

Springfield police said the fire started on the second floor of 26 Olmstead Dr. just before 5 p.m. Friday.

Three adults and six children were displaced from the first floor of the home. The second floor is partially livable.

Fire officials estimate about $40,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
