Benefit concert held for Hadley businesses destroyed by fire

Posted: Updated:

Northfire Recording Studio and the band Show of Cards sponsored the "New Year, New Start" benefit show at Amherst Middle School on Sunday.

The benefit was to raise money for the businesses affected by the Oct. 27 fire that destroyed a Hadley strip mall.

Sunday's event featured performances by the bands Duo Fusion, the Joe Belmont Trio and Show of Cards.

The show was free, but those in attendance were asked to donate money so that the businesses can rebuild.

The organizer of the event told CBS 3 that there is a sense of pride in helping those from the community.
