A man is facing larceny charges in connection with a fraudulent sale of a car.

Police said they arrested 24-year-old Jessie Harbold of East Hartford on Friday.

Harbold was charged with second degree forgery and fifth degree larceny.

He was later released on a $2,500 bond and is expected to face a judge Jan. 16.

Harbold's charges stem from an investigation that begin in 2012 and involved the fraudulent sale of a car with a forged title.

Officers said they eventually obtained an arrest warrant for Harbold, which they served last week.
