One person is in custody and another is being sought after an attempted home invasion in South Tucson on Friday morning.
Some residents in the area of South 7th Avenue and West 31st Street were asked to leave their homes as the Tucson Police bomb squad personnel, the SWAT team and hostage negotiators swarmed to the neighborhood.
Streets in the area are closed, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Details of the incident are still coming in, but the attempted home invasion happened in the 2400 block of South Cottonwood Lane, which is on the southwest side of Tucson, not far from South Tucson.
