Springfield police arrested two men following an armed robbery in the Forest Park area Monday night.

The clerk of the Spring Valley Foods Market at 343 Allen St. waved down Springfield police officers at about 7:20 p.m., and told them he was just robbed at gunpoint, police said.

A 17-year-old masked robber reportedly jumped in a getaway car after he held up the clerk. The officers chased the two suspects to the TD Bank parking lot at the "X" in Springfield.

The alleged robber and the driver, 43-year-old Tameeka Zuvers-Crews of West Springfield, were caught near Sorrento St. Officers recovered a fully loaded .357 Magnum handgun from the car.

The driver will be arraigned in Springfield district court Tuesday morning. She was charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest, carrying a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm while committing a felony.

The boy's name was not made public because of his age. Police did not disclose the relationship between the suspects.
