State trooper says last goodbye to K-9 partner

A Massachusetts State Trooper announced his K-9 partner's passing Tuesday with a heartfelt letter on the state police Facebook page.

Trooper Christopher Coscia described K-9 officer Dante's personality and accomplishments.

They were on the road together for nine years.

Dante cleared the streets of more than 1,000 grams of heroin, 8,600 grams of cocaine, 1,000 pounds of marijuana and even hunted down an accused murderer.
