If your spidey sense was tingling during a recent promotional tweet for the new Spider-Man movie, it might have been because you were seeing something familiar, at least if you're an Auburn fan.
Auburn University's Jordan-Hare Stadium was the scene for a tweet that went out over the movie's official Twitter account twitter.com/SpiderManMovie on January 27.
The sea of orange-clad Auburn fans is focused on a computer-generated marching band in the middle of the field that is lined up in the shape of a spider.
The promotional tweet never mentions Auburn or Jordan-Hare specifically, but the stadium design is unmistakable. The tweet is similar to others the movie's producers have published with spiders on objects. Each tweet is a countdown of days, the Jordan-Hare post being "Six Days".
Each post is hashtagged with "#SB48", a connection to the Super Bowl game between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.
Jordan-Hare Stadium is the 10th largest on-campus stadium in the United States and has a seating capacity of 87,451.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for theatrical release in May.
