26 Days after being named national champions, the Seminoles held their celebration for the honor Saturday afternoon at Doak Campbell.
"It's wonderful, just seeing the support here," said junior wideout Rashad Greene.
Former Lowndes High graduate Telvin Smith has been very busy since winning the national title. The past two weekends he competed in senior bowl games and has been training for the NFL draft. He says he felt obligated come back for Saturday's celebration.
"We put a lot of work into this season," Smith said. "It wouldn't have been right to not come back and celebrate with everybody."
While Smith prepares to play professionally, Greene, quarterback Jameis Winston and others are set on repeating.
"It's not my last year," Winston said. "I'm going to be judged off the next year and the next year, so let's do it again."
The team enters next season as 11/2 favorites to repeat as National Champions.
