Dunkin' Donuts burglar arrested after car chase

Posted: Updated:

A Monson man is facing several felony charges after he led police on a six-mile car chase late Tuesday night, Monson Police Chief Stephen Kozloski said.

29-year-old Robert Richie, of Monson, broke into two Palmer Dunkin' Donuts late Tuesday and then led police on the car chase, Kozloski said.

When a Palmer police officer approached his truck at the Dunkin' Donuts, Riche sped off and hit the officer with the truck, Kozloski said.

After the chase, Riche crashed into a guardrail on Route 20 in Monson where he was arrested, according to Kozloski.

He appeared in court Wednesday afternoon on more than a dozen felony charges.
