TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Jason Day was the last golfer standing at the Accenture Match Play Championship Sunday, but questions remain if he will be the last to hoist the trophy in Tucson, with Accenture's sponsorship ending this year.

Accenture Match Play Championship at the Golf Course at Dove Mountain has brought 64 of the top golfers to Tucson since 2007, and has helped donate $10 million to local charities. But all that could be coming to an end.

The PGA Commissioner has said they are talking to potential sponsors and has not ruled out returning to Tucson. But officials have also said they would consider taking the tournament overseas.

The Tucson Conquistadores have said they would love to see the tournament remain in Tucson, but have other options for fundraising.

The PGA is also considering changing the rules of Match Play, including having golfers play 36 holes of Match Play and then having a cut – giving the fans a chance to see more of the super star golfers.
