State police were patrolling Carew Street at about 7:30 p.m. Monday when they pulled over a Saab station wagon for motor vehicle violations.
After police searched the vehicle they located a bag of cocaine inside of a diaper bag within the passenger compartment, police said. Three passengers, including one juvenile, and a driver occupied the Saab.
Soraida Quinones, 31, of Springfield, was charged with possession of a class B substance (cocaine), receiving stolen property (license plates), operating under a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and attaching false license plates, according to an arrest report.
Quinones was arraigned Tuesday morning in Springfield District Court.
