A man was arrested on his third DUI charge in Franklin Friday morning.
The Franklin Police Department says 33-year-old Robert Diaz was driving in a construction zone along Interstate 65 and swerved across the roadway, almost hitting construction barrels a few times around 2 a.m.
The officers who stopped Diaz say he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Due to past DUI convictions, Diaz was court-ordered to have an ignition interlock device on his vehicle, but police say they did not find a device in the vehicle.
In addition to the DUI charge, Diaz is also facing charges of failure to comply with ignition interlock device law, violation of the implied consent law, failure to maintain lane of travel, open container, and driving on a revoked license.
Diaz is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $27,000 bond. He is due in court on March 27.
