A local synagogue held its Purim celebration on Sunday.
It was a packed room inside the Congregation Sons of Zion.
The festive holiday of Purim commemorates the Queen of Persia, Esther, who helped Jews escape from her kingdom before they were supposed to be killed.
Sunday, the congregation also celebrated its 110th anniversary, which is something organizers say is very important.
"We're very proud to have survived that long and prospered for that long," said Michael Rosner, the congregation's vice president.
Following Sunday's Purim services, there was a performance from a Jewish choir.
There was no charge to take part in the day's festivities.
