Firefighters were called into action Sunday just after 7 p.m. as they battled a fire at the Laundromat Express on Sumner Avenue.
Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that the fire was electrical and it started between the ceiling and roof.
Firefighters initially had problems finding the fire, as they thought it was confined to the duct work.
Leger said the fire caused approximately $20,000 in damage.
There were no injuries.
