A Montague man is in custody after he allegedly set his parents' barns and modular home on fire.
The Montague Center Fire Department, Montague Police Department and state police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal are investigating the fire that broke out early Wednesday morning at 16 Hatchery Road, according to a news release from the Montague Fire Department.
Two historic barns were destroyed and the modular home on the property was also damaged.
Montague Police arrested Cody Lee Adams, 22, the son of the property owners, for setting the fire. He is being held on $25,000 cash bail.
He will be arraigned Thursday morning in Greenfield District Court.
