HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

Holyoke police were called to city hall Thursday after threatening phone messages were left on the City Clerk's voicemail.

The messages were about a recent incident in which a Holyoke woman suffering from cancer was arrested on an outstanding warrant for not appearing in court after failing to pay $5 to register her dog.

Police tell CBS 3 they are monitoring the situation and take threats to staff very seriously.
