    Police responded to several reports of a shooting early Sunday morning in a neighborhood near Park Avenue and East Silverlake Road. Officers found two men shot in the 1100 block of East 32nd Street just after 1:30 a.m. on May 28, according to a release from Tucson Police Department.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima County Sheriff's deputies arrested a burglarysuspect with the help of a homeowner who was alerted by his cell phone that the videosurveillance in his home was activated.

He saw footage of a man entering hishome and gave a suspect description to police, authorities said.

Deputies responded to the scene in the 4400 block of N.Camino Gacela around 2:15 p.m. and blocked in the suspect's vehicle, which wasparked along the street. One deputy saw the suspect head toward his vehicle,then they were reportedly involved in a short chase on foot before the suspectgot away.

A search and rescue unit, a canine unit and Department ofPublic Safety Ranger helicopter assisted deputies in the search. The suspectallegedly approached a resident near River and Swan roads and said police wereafter him. A call was made to authorities and Sheriff's Department Canine Jack wasdeployed in the area and caught the suspect hiding in nearby bushes.

Authorities later identified the suspect as Alan Thieme,Jr., 31. His burglary charges are pending as the sheriff's burglary unitcontinues the investigation.
