Men from across the Midlands showed off their best pair of heels at the State House Thursday and it was all for a good cause.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes had hundreds strut their stuff in an effort to raise awareness of sexual abuse and violence against women.
This is the fifth year the walk has been held in Columbia.
"We don't want any more victims," said Thelmer Raylene. "That's why we're here. We'd like to see this completely go away, and then we could do something else if we never had another CDV or sexual assault victim."
April is sexual assault awareness month.
The event raised more than $45,000 for Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.
