The O'Donnell Fire, started near Elgin Saturday, is now 65 percent contained.

The fire was started by lightning striking dry grass, igniting several brush fires that merged, according to Sonoita-Elgin Fire Department PIO Katie Goodwin.

The fire quickly spread, covering 600 acres of land.

Now, crews continue to mop up the area and extinguish the remained of the flames.
