Springfield police are investigating reports of shots fired at a North End park.
There is no word at this point from Springfield police on the shooting that occurred on Osgood Street earlier Tuesday afternoon.
Crime scene tape has been removed, but at about 1:30 Tuesday police were interviewing residents and putting down evidence markers.
CBS 3 media partner MassLive and The Republican interviewed one man who said he saw a shootout between two girls. He said the whole neighborhood heard the shots fired.
Jose Claudio, president of New North Citizens Council, said one girl was shot in the leg.
There is no word on her condition at this point.
