The recent Jewish-related shootings in Overland Park, KS, has brought heightened interest in the Ku Klux Klan and, unfortunately, along with it unwanted negative attention to a prominent car dealer.

Frank Ancona is a Park Hills, MO, Klan member who has many videos on YouTube regarding the KKK. But there is also a Frank Ancona who is a car dealer out of Olathe, KS, who's been in the business for over five decades.

Since the shootings at Jewish-related sites in Kansas, because of their shared name, the two men became linked with people thinking car Frank, who happens to own the dealership, is Klan Frank.

The misinformation is the result of online searches from Google, Yahoo and Bing co-mingling news articles and photos about the Olathe Honda dealership with the alleged KKK leader.

"I didn't know anything about this Frank Ancona. I hadn't heard anything. When I heard about the shooting, I didn't know how they got tied together. I still don't really know - I don't read the news that much, only what I hear from other people - and this thing is really getting out of hand," car Frank Ancona said.

There's more to sharing a name than just an unfortunate inconvenience. In this case Frank Ancona's son, Michael, says it can also affect the dealership's bottom line.

"Some people are nice enough to ask and find out, but there's a lot of people who don't ask and just assume and go somewhere else. And we've spent 52 years building our reputation, our name, our business," Michael Ancona said.

The dealership Ancona's are doing the only thing they can - disavowing Klan Frank, letting people know they're good people one potential customer at a time.

The Frank Ancona Honda in Olathe hasn't seen a drop in customers, but workers there understand they may be fielding calls for quite some time until the name mix-up passes.
