Petersburg Police investigating another Harding Street homicide

A man is dead following an early morning shooting in Petersburg.

Police responded to the 600 block of Harding Street for a gunshot victim around 1:00 a.m. Sunday.  Once on scene officers found 25 year old Petersburg resident Akeim Easter on the porch of a home with a gunshot wound. He died at Southside Regional Medical Center.

Another person arrived to the emergency room shortly after the first victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  At 1:45 a.m. Sunday officers went to the 500 block of St. Luke Street for a person shot. The victim sustained a non-life threatening wound from a bullet that penetrated the residence.
