It was an important night for hockey in the City of Homes.
The Springfield Falcons hosted the Providence Bruins in a winner-take-all game five of the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs.
The game did not disappoint as far as action goes, as there was seven goals in the first period alone.
When it was all said and done, Springfield's season came to an end.
For the second game in a row, the Falcons lost by a score of 6-3.
Last year, Springfield was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.
This year, the season ends after a record-breaking regular season that saw the Falcons post franchise highs with 47 wins, 100 points and a .658 points percentage.
