The 104th Fighter Wing gathered at Barnes Air National Guard Base for an annual ceremony on Saturday.
A 21-gun salute and a military flyover were part of the event, as the wing held its 27th rededication ceremony of its F-100 memorial.
The monument honors the memory of the 12 unit members who gave their lives while serving our country.
Along with the placement of the memorial wreath, the 12 names of the fallen airmen were read.
The 104th's wing commander, Col. James Keefe, and the family of one of the fallen stressed the importance the ceremony.
Of the 12 fallen members of the 104th, three of them were Western Massachusetts natives.
