An early Sunday morning crash involving a state trooper sent all three people involved to the hospital.
The incident happened around 2:25 a.m. at the intersection of Carew and Dineen Streets.
In a press release, state police said that the cruiser collided with a vehicle that had two people inside.
Dennis Leger, aide to fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that the Springfield Fire Department used the jaws-of-life to extricate the two people from the vehicle.
The trooper was able to exit his vehicle on his own.
State police said that all three involved had no visible injuries but complained of pain and were transported to Baystate Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation by the state police from Troop B, as well as their Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and their Crime Scene Services Section.
