Police: Clarksville man attacked wife over socks

Posted: Updated:

A Clarksville man was arrested after police say he attacked his wife after she had been wearing his socks.

According to The Leaf-Chronicle, the man's wife told police that 20-year-old Sean Jones had been drinking, and she was leaving the apartment when Jones allegedly grabbed her by the neck and demanded that she give the socks back.

She told police that she took the socks off and went outside to a friend's car.

Police say Jones beat on the car's windshield, and The Leaf-Chronicle reports that when she opened the door to try to get him to stop, he allegedly put the tip of the knife in her neck just behind her left ear.

Jones was arrested and is facing an aggravated assault charge.
