4 accused of passing counterfeit money in Hadley

Posted: Updated:

Hadley police are asking for the public's help in identifying four individuals accused of passing counterfeit money at the Walmart on Rt. 9 on Sunday.

Police tell CBS 3 that surveillance video shows a car parking in front of the Walmart at about 6 p.m. Several minutes later, each person walked into the store individually and each one used a $100 bill to make purchases.

Walmart later contacted authorities.

Police say that they are working with a federal agency in the investigation to get more details on where the counterfeit money is being made.

If you have any information contact Hadley police at 413-584-0883.
